This site is the location where Finlay Grist Mill was built on the
banks of Willow Creek in 1825. Later four other mills, a soap
factory, a distillery and two hydro electric plants which served
nearby Barrie in 1888 were also built here. Today the site is a
small park with a pretty walking trail alongside Willow Creek. A
nice peaceful break during your drive.
